GREAT NEWS - NEW CD NOW AVAILABLE

Phil's new CD 'Over the Rainbow', recorded on the Wurlitzer at the Assembly Hall, Worthing is now available from our online shop. An interesting feature of this organ, as many will know, is that it includes some of the pipework from the original Tower Wurlitzer, which was installed in the Tower Ballroom from 1929 until 1934, when the current instrument replaced it. So it can be said, at least in part, that this new album is 'of the Tower Wurlitzer'!

Concert Review

This extract comes from a review of Phil's recent concert at Louth Town Hall by Trevor Ekins of Compass FM.

'For more than two hours this organist truly entertained, with not a single sheet of music in sight nor a song list to remind him what was to be played next, and requests from the audience just flowed from his finger tips. A true master of his instrument with a degree of flamboyance but then, if all your audience can see is your back, a little showbiz panache doesn't go amiss.'

Ipod users will be pleased to know that they can now download tracks of some of Phil's EMI albums via the Apple website.

It would appear that Phil and his famous predecessor at the Tower Ballroom, Reginald Dixon, are the only organists whose recordings are currently available via this latest method of music download.
